Hey fellow fishing lovers! In this blog, I made a new mini pond!
The other day, we went fishing for a Bass to put with Scar, my crazy aggressive pet sunfish. We finally caught one, but when we put it in the tank, we realized it was about the length of three Scars!
We wanted to get him out before he ate Scar, or before he died, because he was so big he could not even turn around in my aquarium! We could not really bring him to a pond or lake because the sun was already setting. Me and my dad went outside to get our old fifty gallon rubber deer trough! We inspected it, and there were no rips, tears or holes in it! We carried it to our hose and rinsed it out, then set it in a corner of our garage where we never needed to put anything. I filled the bottom with some natural rocks, and placed a temporary aerator in the water.
Then we went inside and ordered a real aerator . Sadly, by the time we went to move the bass to the tub, Scar had killed him! Even though it was three times his size, and it was a Large Mouth! The next day, when the aerator got here, I knew we could not return it, so I decided to not let it go to waist! I bought gravel and plants and put them in the pond. I filled it with water, dechlorinated it, and put some logs, rocks, wild water lilies in it. I moved some minnows and three Craw Fish my dad and me caught in it! Then I made a mesh lid for it! I now have my very own fifty gallon mini pond! If you want to watch me make it, go to my YouTube channel at: Hudson’s Fishing Adventures to watch me make it!
