Hi guys! I recently went fishing in Horse Shoe Bay, and man did we catch some fish! Here’s what happened: At around 4:20 am we were on are way to pick up my boat, and we were on the water at basically day light! We trolled to a cove with a crank bait, and we didn’t pick up a fish, but when we got to the cove, our luck changed. We had pulled in next to a dock and on my first cast in the cove I reeled in a sunfish! For a while after that, we didn’t catch anything, but then a while later my dad pulled in some of the biggest sunfish I have ever seen!!!! I didn’t catch anything for a while but then, I caught about an eight pound Catfish! Then me and my dad got into some big sunfish. Then we decided to move. We finally pulled into our secret cove and my dad caught two bass and I caught a rare fish! Later we started to slowly work our way back and on the way, we stopped at a couple of spots. We picked up some more giant sunfish. And get this, I caught a super small perch, and I caught a monster sunfish on that little one! Later my dad said “you’ll catch a big fish there” so I cast where he said and I caught a freshwater drum! We decided not to keep them, but we still took some good pics. (scroll down to see them). Thank you very much for supporting Hudson’s Fishing Adventures and Tackle Shop.
