Canyon Lake Secrets

Hi guys! A few days ago my dad and I took my boat out to Canyon Lake. Neither of us have ever done to good in this lake, but ever since Horseshoe Bay and Lake Dunlap flooded, neither are as populated with fish, so Canyon Lake was our best option. I had rigged the rods the night before and we where on the water before eight thirty and ready to fish. We booked it to a near buy marina and started fishing around the docks. I was fishing with corks and Night Crawlers and my dad was fishing with larger jigs. I almost instantly caught a Sunfish and got a few hits bu that was it. We drove to the sides of the marina where a normal fishing or lake boat could not go (once more the mini boat saves the day)! We started fishing along the backs of the docks, but still nothing. We noticed on the opposite side of the docks was about six hundred yards around the marina of boulders and plants and trees. We had hit the jackpot! Right away we started hammering fish. My dad caught a Large Mouth Bass and I caught a small Rock Bass. We both caught some beautiful Green Sunfish and I caught my first ever Chiclid, which is now in my aquarium and is doing great! We caught about thirty fish in about three hours, not the best but nice for Canyon Lake.

P.S. I know I have been all over the place when it comes to when I post my blogs, but now yall’ can expect a blog every Wednesday! And do not forget to subscribe to my YouTube Channel! See you guys next time on Hudson’s Fishing Adventures! Bye!
