Hi guys! Today I will be giving a review on a small bait house named Canyon Bait House right next to South Cranes Mill Marina on Canyon Lake. The Bait House is a blue trailer off the side of the road. It does not look amazing from the outside, but once you go in it is pretty cool! They have a few different sizes and selections of minnows for fishing, which we used and tested by feeding my new pet Bass (check out my next blog for more info on the bass) and he destroyed them! I mean one chomp and gone! Now, back to the review. He even had a tackle selection! He had bait buckets, buckets and bubblers, portable nets, sinkers and split shots, corks, hooks, lots of small Jerk Baits and Crank Baits and even these cool bug looking things which I bought and tested. I Texas rigged it with a size #14 hook and a split shot a foot above the creature and flipped it out. Only took a few casts with it and caught two decent Sunfish. The Bass were following it, but never hit it. Honestly we tried bread, jigs with scented craw fish lures, spinners and even rattle traps for the Bass, but they would not hit anything. Must have been a lot of fisherman earlier that day before us. Now once more back to the review. The customer service was amazing! The guy who helped us was very nice. He chatted for a while, then let us get on with feeding our fish back home. He even hand carves fish statues from wood! My favorite thing about the place was the sign on the way out that said: “Have a Crappie day!” With a picture of a Crappie! Make sure to checkout the Canyon Bait House, it was well worth the trip.
That is it for today so see you next time on Hudson’s Fishing Adventures! Bye!
