Fishing the Guadalupe River - Hudson's Fishing Adventures

Ever since I first went fishing on the Guadalupe River, I was hooked… get it?       From fishing the Guadalupe river in the summer for Bass and Blue Gill, to kayaking or floating 10 miles down river in the winter and fly fishing for Rainbow Trout, it is all SO MUCH FUN on the Guadalupe River in Texas! My dad and I have even spent the night on the side of the river in the woods! And when I am not fishing on the Guadalupe, I am flipping rocks looking for Craw Fish, or searching the river bank to cool finds! There is so much to do down on the Guadalupe, you gotta come check it out!

Fishing the Guadalupe River

Fishing the Guadalupe River

I LOVE fishing this river so much! I have caught Largemouth, spotted, and Guadalupe Bass, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, Palomino Trout, Blue Gill, and countless other sunfish species, crawfish, hellgramites, minnows, and shiners all in the Guadalupe River! I have also seen GIANT Gator Gar, Catfish, and sucker fish (Plako) while fishing the river! The river ranges from slow moving sections, to rapid, well, rapids! There is an incredibly healthy ecosystem all through out the river, including plants, fish, and small bugs/bait.

You can see above are some videos I made fishing the river, but, above is a 2 video series where my dad and I kayaked 10 miles down the Guadalupe River, caught some Trout to eat, set up camp in the woods,  and camped overnight in 27 degrees! I thought we forze to death, literally, check out Part 2 above.  We woke up with ice on our clothes and had to get into the river to thaw out!  The water was actually warmer than the air…nuts!

Please join me and subscribe on You Tube and let’s get out and fish!  I am planning many more adventures down the Guadalupe and hope you are ready for some fun!  Stay safe and get fishing!
